Fraser Fir Christmas Tree For Sale

>>>>>Live Fresh Cut Fraser Fir Christmas Trees<<<<<

I live in an area, NE Pennsylvania, with numerous Christmas tree farms nearby. Most people do not realize the work involved that goes into growing Christmas trees. First the trees need to be planted, second, they need to be trimmed annually and lastly the trees are harvested and then put up for sale. Many of the local tree farms plant a wide variety of trees because of the different rate of growth for each species of tree. Because my family lives close to several of the Christmas tree wholesalers we go every year to choose and cut down our own tree.

The Freshly Cut Christmas Tree.

When I was growing up my parents had Norwegian pine trees on the far side of the property. Every Christmas season We would cut down one of the Red pines and my dad would try to reshape it before bringing it into the house. The long needles made it difficult to hang ornaments. Since I have been married, my wife and I have tried many different varieties of Christmas trees. Our favorite is the Fraser Fir Christmas tree, the most popular Christmas tree in North America, which is dark green in color. We also like the looks of a blue spruce, but it’s needles are so picky that you have to wear gloves while decorating and putting on the lights. The Fraser Fir Christmas tree has a wonderful fragrance and is soft to the touch. It has short soft needles and sturdy branches so it is easy to hang as many ornaments as you want on it. The Fraser Fir xmas trees also holds their needles very well so there is not the problem of needle shedding that many of the other short needle varieties encounter.

Last year when we went to cut down our tree we were told that a new field had been opened for cutting. This field featured the Fraser Fir tree that we were after, but also had several of the Balsam fir and Douglas fir trees. The Frasier fir trees are suppose to be the most aromatic of all evergreens and does not shed. We tried one a few years ago and liked the looks of the tree and the fragrance; the branches are very strong and point upward. The strong branches can hold the heavier Hallmark Christmas ornaments that we have collected throughout the years. This meant that many of our best ornaments that had the most significant memories were placed in the throughout the branches. We decided that because of this strength we would spend the extra money for a Frasier fir again.

Many of the local tree farms offer a shaker service as well as a bailing service for the trees when they are cut. The tree is placed in a stand on an automatic shaker that helps get rid of the dead needles and other debris that may have collected in the freshly cut tree. The tree is then shoved through a barrel that has netting on the end. The netting is cut the length of the tree and tied on both ends. This allows for easy transport as well as ease in getting the tree in the house. The Christmas tree growers are always looking for ways to make buying your Christmas tree much more enjoyable. We are looking forward to choose our live fresh cut Fraser Fir Christmas tree again this year, usually the second week of December.

Artificial or Live Christmas Tree?

Deck the halls with boughs of holly, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la,’Tis the season to be jolly, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la. Hey, who can ever get sick of that tune? It’s a classic. Your mom and dad probably sang it to you before you could even walk. Am I right or am I right? Okay, please just tell me I’m right here, because my parents sang that very song over and over. Anyway, as you already figured out, that wonderful Christmas holiday season is fast approaching.

Although it may seem like we just got over the holiday season from last year, it is right around the corner once again. Time sure does fly, am I right again or what folks? So, what are you going to be doing for this years upcoming Christmas holiday season? Planning on sticking around the old homestead and decking it out with millions of lights, snowmen, santas, and the traditional nativity scene? This sure sounds like a blast. Maybe you can finally beat your neighbors spectacular holiday lighting display.

Okay, now for the big question; is it going to be an artificial Christmas tree or a fresh cut live Christmas tree? I may be getting ahead of myself here. When it comes to Christmas, the tree is always the main focal point in decorating.

Do you even know the reason we prop up decorated trees in our living rooms? In all honesty it has nothing to do with Christianity like many people are led to believe. In fact, it might even be related back to the pagans. Okay, you probably didn’t want to hear that, but it is a tradition worth doing some research on. Knowledge is key, folks. Regardless, we all love to get that tree up and decorated each and every year. I think many of us have it up by the beginning of December.

Our society loves the holidays. Personally I prefer a pre-lit artificial Christmas tree. Now, I know what you’re thinking. How could I possibly prefer a quality artificial Christmas tree over the traditional live Christmas tree bought from the local Christmas tree farm. Well, it comes down to a few basic things. 1.) you don’t have to deal with the yearly routine of going out and paying some high priced cost for a tree that you’re only going to have for a few weeks. 2.) you don’t have to deal with clean-up when you have an artificial Christmas tree. Finally, you don’t have to get rid of the tree after the Christmas season is over. Not to mention a fake Christmas tree is less likely to be a fire hazard in the home. You never would have thought of that one would you?

If you are looking to buy a pre lit artificial Christmas tree that looks real and that you can use to celebrate this holiday season, then you may want to check out some sites online. These online stores typically offer a much wider variety and price range. Oh and don’t forget that with a realistic artificial Christmas tree you’ll already have one for next year as well. Isn’t that a pleasant thought. Ready for next Christmas season already!
